It is the time of the year when all New Zealanders start thinking of Christmas and the holidays to come. To show the community the appreciation Titirangi Volunteer Coastguard has for their support over the last year, we and many other community based organisations and rescue services, take part in the annual Christmas parades held in all the major centres in West Auckland. This year has been no exception and we have been fortunate to be able to support the New Lynn and Henderson Christmas Parades.

The volunteers who took part in these events thoroughly enjoyed decorating Manukau Rescue 2, and children of members of the unit were invited to ride in Rescue 2 and assist the volunteers to distribute lollies to the enthusiastic and excited children and parents who lined the route the precession took.

Once again these were two very well organised parades and extremely well supported by the general public. Titirangi Volunteer Coastguard would like to thank all those who supported the unit through this last year and we wish everyone a safe boating holidays and tight lines.
