Titirangi Volunteer Coastguard together with Papakura Coastguard supported the annual Emergencies Services Open Day held in Henderson on Sunday 5th December 2010.

This turned out to be very well supported by the general public and
congratulations to the organisers of the event. The public were very
interested in Papakura Rescue 1, which is Papakura Coastguards primary
vessel, and thanks for the effort they made to transport their vessel all
the way from Papakura to support Titirangi Volunteer Coastguard in West Auckland.

Titirangi Volunteer Coastguard had their 4.8m jet boat on display to compliment the
Coastguard display. An enjoyable time was had by all and some of the
emergency services put on displays to test their skills and demonstrate to
the public what happens in an emergency situation. I would like to thank the
members of Titirangi and Papakura Coastguard's for the time they put in to
support this event.
